We are excited for your interest in volunteering with the Dickinson Montessori PTA! Please find a few frequently asked questions to jumpstart your journey. Please note that it is Grand Prairie ISD policy that all volunteers complete a Volunteer Application prior to volunteering at any campus including Dickinson Montessori Academy. A complete criminal background check will be done, and if approved, you will be considered a volunteer for the school year. Contact the campus secretary, Cynthia Milbers, after 72 hours to confirm your approval.

The answer depends on the type of special event; however, it is always better to sign up in advance so our event coordinators know you will be joining us! That does NOT mean you'll be turned away at the door.

If you are volunteering during school hours, you will need to complete a background check. Complete the Grand Prairie ISD Volunteer/Chaperone Online Application HERE.

Not at all! All hands are needed during special events.

If the special event takes place during normal school hours, you will need to show identification to enter the school building.
